Equipment:
if there is a problem with the Sheffield Live! facilities we will approach the college to see if it possible to to use the equipment to create our radio programme. If this is not possible we would have to purchase the equipment ourselves from the equipment list. Alternatively, if the issue is that we could not use the studio on the day that we had chosen we would have to re arrange to see if we could access the equipment on a different date. However in the production plan created we left a week for the recording stage therefore there will be space in the week to change the date that we have arranged for recording.
Presenters:
If there is an issue with both the presenters, or even the interviewees then we would have to re arrange the recording to a different date. However this should be avoided by key communication throughout all the parties. Another problem could be that a presenter could drop out of the show altogether, in this case we would have to use a temporary presenter to take over the position of the show until we find a permanent replacement.
Broadcasting times:
The proposed launch date for the show is the 1st May. There is a very strong possibility that Sheffield Live will not be able to give us the slot within the schedule that we would like, as during the time that we want a show called 'Aaj Kj Shaam' is aired, on friday between 7pm to 9pm. This falls in between 'Talking Balls' and 'Da Beat Down'. This is why the contingency plan is important, because we would prefer this time slot as it suits the genre of the show as well as fits the target demographic of the show. There is a strong possibility that our show would be broadcast on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday Night however this would mean still replacing and existing show. If all else fails on getting the show on Sheffield Live then we would have to change the format of the show to a podcast, so that our listeners could listen to it at a suitable time.
