LO1: Research Notes - Romeo and Juliet (Audio book) -

Purpose – What is the purpose of this audio product? Does it entertain, Inform or instruct? How do you know it is for this purpose?
This is an audio book of Romeo an Juliet. The purpose of this is to entertain with a story been reading aloud.

Form & Style – What form does the product take (podcast, audiobook, audio manual etc.) What style is employed? Conversational, formal, informal etc.
This is in a form of this is in the style of a audio book, this is shown by the fact someone is reading the story out loud as it is made clear at the start by telling you it is a audiobook.
Content – What is in this audio product, what does it deliver to the audience.
The content of this audio book is a over lay of speech of the book as well as pictures of the text that is been read out loud in case that you have you missed something that has been said.
Meaning – What does the product convey in terms of meaning, does it seek to influence or engage the listener in thought.
The audio product delivers the same connotations as the original hard book copy. The denotations of how the story is written engage the listener by using different yet relatable situations to make the listener feel like they can relate to the audio book.
Genre – What genre does it belong to? How can you tell?
This is in the genre of a audio book and is in the genre of romance and fiction. This is shown by denotations of the dialect and the aim of the story, this connotes the fact they are trying to aim at a specific audience. The  fact that the genre has not changed from the original.
Target audience – Who are the target audience? What demographic do they come under? What does any RAJAR data tell us about this group?
The target audience is mainly women as women are more stereotyped to be interested in reading romance.
Frequency – How often is the audio product available/updated? What is significant about the frequency.
The audio book is available on youtube, for anyone to see for free, there are many different readers of the audio book which may help to suit you personally.
Production process – Where and how is the product produced? How is it made available for consumption?
The audio book was not recorded live so there was chance to edit the sound using adobe audition or soundbooth.However this could easily be read live on radio or something, which would probably not end up as good quality as the recorded version as there is chance for many mistakes.
